The FEMED has led several advocacy missions at the national and international levels.

During its missions, the FEMED went to meet representatives of international organizations: the Committee on Enforced Disappearances, the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances, the Special Rapporteur on torture, on freedom of opinion and expression etc. The FEMED is also in contact with European institutions such as the European Union and the Council of Europe.

These meetings are also a way for the FEMED to discuss with the embassies in targeted cities in order to provoke a change of politics towards enforced disappearances. These meetings also allow FEMED to establish links with local NGOs in order to build a real network around enforced disappearances.

These advocacy missions aim to present the FEMED and its member associations. Indeed, the FEMED try hard to involve its member associations in its travels to raise awareness of the specific and worrying situations that are taking place in its territories. The reality of enforced disappearances in the region deserves to be highlighted. Moreover, these visits are also an opportunity to discuss measures to be taken to fight against enforced disappearances and to promote the universal ratification of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance.
